Movie: "Waking Life" (2001)

Amazing film, really amazing. If you like the wickedness of 'A Scanner Darkly', you will love this. Both these films are directed by Richard Linklater. The picture is also here (five years before A Scanner Darkly though) ani-fiction style.

The message behind this film is abstract, to say the least. To be honest, the whole film is abstract. It touches a really interesting subject though - the human mind. The [for science unreachable] things about cue and perception.

The main character of the film is described as a dreamer, not to say it could have a metaphorical meaning, 'cuz [to me] it seems like the main focus is the perceptive parts of a human being; whereas the time we spend sleeping is a very good symbolic gesture for all this, since this is the closest we seem to get to those "Matrix phenomenons" without being considered being way out in the blue.

Interesting film indeed. Woke more than just a few thoughts inside of me, questions that needs conviction rather than clear answers. Everyone should see this film.

8/10
