Movie: "Naked Lunch" (1991)

Wow!

This was fabulous. I'm not sure what I excepted, but I left my sofa just stunned, and I must say a bit confused. The film is about Willam Lee, an exterminator living in NYC in the 50's. He will pretty soon come to evolve a problem of substance abuse. The substance? The powder he uses to kill them cockroaches! Crazy, huh?

It won't take long before William starts hallucinating (heavily) under his intoxication. In fact, he loses all touch with reality, and takes identify of an undercover agent, whose assignment is to write a report on the killing of his wife (whom he accidentally killed during a common high). His choice of typewriter is important, aswell as he must be aware of those opponent agents trying to set him up. He must be cautious, really cautious.

So, I was trying to figure out any possible morals of the film, plus keeping track on the different characters (including typewriters). But, like my fiancé said, it would probably not make any sense anyways. It's just fun, really fun. Can't believe I've missed this movie, especially since it's obviously considered a classic. It's really fun. She said it was probably the most wicked she'd ever seen. I must agree; in it's category. Loads of fun, go see this one!
