A little piece on today's events

I'm really just here to say that our little apartment fellow (the fly) is still with us. Strange, really. We open the windows for airing at least once a day, but he just isn't willing to leave us. There must be a reason. My best guess is that he's watching us, writing notes a tiny slip of paper that he has, which is of course way too microscopic for a human eye to see. The fly is timid but friendly, and we have accepted him as a part of our everyday lives.

Oh, another thing. Plants. I don't know much about them, when I was just a young boy I didn't seem to bother about those thingies sitting in everyone's windows. Now, when I moved in to my apartment it suddenly just felt natural to get plants. So, I purchased two Dracaena marginata's, a plant which felt pretty common, easy to care for, and so on. No big worries.

Picture just to show species, not my plant.

So, I've had it for like a half-year, and it's doing well. Anyways, I was bored and decided to search the web for some care advices. So I did. Wow, have been so wrong about this plant. I thought it was sensitive to light, so therefor I've been having them venetian blends shut almost 24/7. This was wrong, since I read that this species is tolerant to direct sunlight. Gosh, have I been wrong. Anyways, it's not too late. Also, I have thought that the plant shall be watered only every other week. This is also wrong, during summer time the Dracena marginata shall be kept constantly soggy.

My own two plants.

Later on..
I called Sebastian. Our conversation touched everything from A to Z. Call lasted for 39 minutes flat. After we hung up, I noticed I had a missed call from another good friend of mine. I called him back and we talked for about ten minutes. Life's (apparently) still a bitch up at boot camp land: tough on everyone. Anyways, it was nice hearing from these guys. A bit of reality check, sort of.

Much later on..
We had dinner.
