A funny little traveler in the window.

Wow, today I found a new little traveler in the living room window. He was looking really special, like a really oblong mosquito. I showed it to my fiancé, who didn't seem surprised.

"Oh, it's just a water strider", she said. I was like "Wtf is that?" and she thought that I must have seen one. Still being unsure about the strange creature, I reached for my camera. Snapped a couple of pictures, hard to get the right focus (darn compact cam; I shot like fifteen photos). However, when I was running a slideshow in the computer later on, my mind froze on how the creature's body came to look when zooming in. It was like, errr, I'm not really sure what to refer to. A palm tree? ..or perhaps even a "stick of the 70's". The more I thought of it, the more I laughed to myself. Still unsure of how I was really finding this picture amusing or just vague repulsive, I liberated my discomfort in the thought of this strange little fellow, (literally) living a full life with his ass constantly on fire. So I kept on laughing, until I realized that if his boot was really burning, then the creature itself would be a real cruel act of creation. And since I know(!) He would never do that, I just snapped back to reality, happy for my successful photograph of nature.

Well, tell me it doesn't look funny!

Note that there are no digitalized effects/filters whatsoever. Not even a change in brightness/contrast. This is a raw crop of the original DSC photo. So, this is how the creature looks. I'm telling you, those small little wonders..
