Movie: "Robocop" (1987)

Whoa! Long time no seen Robocop!

Havn't seen this movie in ages. Actually, when I first saw it I think I was way too young to watch it. However, now watching the criterion edition with lots of violent scenes. Take when officer Murphy is being shot down. You may turn it all you want, but you still can't call it anything but nasty.

I remember when I watched the sequel to this film, I was perhaps around nine-ten years old, and some of the [disgusting] scenes there made me have my first fear of death moment, plus the following question marks on the subject of human existence.

After the film, I was determined to found out if the "SUX 6000" really was. I mean, not even in my wildest imagination I could visualize (not even in the 80's) a car with a huge model sign reading "6000" with bold and sterile print. So, I started digging. After only a few clicks I found out that the movie was hyping "the then-futuristic" (Wiki*) Ford Taurus, which was new at the time of the shooting. Also, they made fun of Pontiac's similarity, the "6000" (gosh, someone really did use that m/n for a car).

Well, that was yesterday. Today's Thuesday, a day filled with possibilities. Oh, clock's ticking, I have to get going. Laters!
