An ordinary comedy. Feels like none of these really succeed in even making an impression nowadays, they just slip by. Not really sure why I even bothered renting it, probably 'cuz I was a friend's place like a half-year ago, watching around half of the movie, so I guess I just wanted a clean closure to the story.
It's the usual everyone walks out happy deal, no secret into that. The story is about Chuck and Larry, firemen, and also best friends. Larry is concerned about his heir, mostly thinking about the possibility of dropping dead in line of duty, and his occupational pension going where it shouldn't. Of course, he wants his children to be heiress in this matter. The paperwork for this seems to be more difficult than he'd expected, finally leaving him only one option - remarriage. It has to be someone he can trust. Hmmm, of course, Chuck!
Here goes nothing.
The story about a former stage wedding (which resulted in prison for all involved parties) is constantly frightening both Chuck and Larry, especially since they have got a nosey investigator (Steve Buscemi) up their arses. Also, Chuck is a real ladies man, with his most recent bite on their partnership lawyer (Jessica Biel). So, how will these fellows manage to hold their faces straight..? Well, it's a comedy.
