Movie: "Brooklyn Rules" (2007)

Sort of a sweet story about kids growing up. It's all about these three fellows, first seen as kids in the mid-70's of Brooklyn. Around ten years later - 1985 - they are all in their 20's, and still best of friends. However, they have chosen different paths in life. Mikey (Freddie Prinze Jr.) is aiming for higher learning. He's really anxious to get into law school, which is sort of his big dream. Then we have Bobby, a robust young fellow who's had the pleasure of meeting the girl of his dream at an early age. Then there's the third fellow, Carmine, whose hang-around acquaintance with the local mobster force is starting to worry Mike and Bobby. Anyways, they are all up in their own barriers in life, so they have to let it slip.

So, this isn't really a mafia flick or something like it. It's more a story about three boys growing up under the same conditions, but with a slightly different perspective on things. Most of the human feelings are given form to in this movie. My fiancé didn't really approve on this one, but I thought it was just... somewhat sweet! :)
