Movie: "Gummo" (1997)

Written and directed by Harmony Korine, who also collaborated with Larry Clark on writing of the notorious film 'Kids' (1995). Anyways. This is a really dark story. So, what's happening? City of Xenia, Ohio. A tornado has struck the place, leaving the ones who didn't get killed with despair and sadness. Most from the parents' generations is dead, so lots of kids are running around wild. Anarchy among them? Well, watch for yourself. This is wicked pictures incorporated indeed, I'd say.

I remember first time I watched it, around five years ago or something like that. I knew from watching just a few scenes that this was some rugged stuff. And it was about to get worse. Blah. Kids shooting down stray cats with bebe guns, dirt, mud, despair. Repulsive, all the way through.

I'm not really sure what to say about this. The portrait is just fine. Just hoping that Harmony Korine's intention with this isn't antichrist. Not really sure where I got that idea from. Just sad hearing the mentally challenged girl singing about glory
towards the end. I mean, is it like - there is no one..? Whatever, I've seen this movie two or three times throughout the years, and I believe this will be the last time. Am I recommending it? Well, it will definitely get caught in your mind. It's one of those films, I can promise you that much..
