Movies - I got 2 of 'em..

Yeah, I've had lots of time watching movies lately, so I do have a couple of them to tell a few words about. Let's start from the beginning. While my beloved fiancé was on her summer work I watched 'The Good Girl' from 2002.

Here you see Jennifer Aniston as Justine, a thirty-year-old woman who is married to a marijuana-smoking house painter who doesn't do anything but just sit in the sofa with either a refeer or a bud in his hand, talking stoned-out-gibberish with his best friend "Bubba". So, Justine is bored with her life, aswell as her job. She has worked in a supermart called "Retail Rodeo" for as long as she can remember. One day a new young man starts to work there. Thomas is his realname, but he prefer to call it "his slave name", as he would like to be refered to as "Holden Worther", after a fictional character from one of his favorite books. Justine and Holden will soon find themselves in a secret relationship, and from here on things will get alot more complicated.

So, what did I think? I actually liked this movie. It was simply 93 minutes of great drama picture. The feelings were well described / good acting, something I think most movies actually fails on, nowadays. Perhaps me being deadened on what's there, dunno. Anyways, 6 out of 10.

Next up in line was 'Rescue Dawn'. Here's Christian Bale, who you're probably more likely to remember as Patrick Bateman (American Psycho), than Batman (Batman Begins).

Anyways..
It's in the mid-60's during the Vietnam war. Bale plays Dieter, a US air force pilot who has just been sent on a classified mission to put out a a row of specified targets on North Vietnamese territory. Well, shit hits the fan. Dieter's plane is taking too many bullets and goes down. After miraculously surviving the crash, Dieter tries to escape into the woods. It only takes a while before he's caught though. From this point we will follow the torture that Dieter (and a few other captured Americans) will suffer under imprisonment. How the story ends? Find out for yourself. This was a really great film. I'm not usually so much for war flicks, but this two hour long film felt more like one and a half or something like that. Exactly the way a really well produced(!) motion picture is supposed(!!) to feel like. So, you all should better go watch this one. I give it 7 out of 10!
