Item: "Konica Minolta DiMAGE X60"

I've long thought about writing a tribute to my faithful compact camera, which came in a perfectly fitted leather case when I first bought it back in fall of 2005. So, here's finally a description of my love for this little piece of lens machinery. My friend had an old Canon IXUS compact camera (probably around 2 megapixels), in which I'd always liked the picture quality. So, I'm not really sure why I (when I had finally managed to save up for an own camera) decided to buy one from this manufacturer instead. Around a year ago, my little niece got a IXUS camera for birthday present. I tried to compare the picture quality, and (still unsure of whether just imagining) even though, I thought that the IXUS camera took just a little bit "sharper" photos than my own KONICA MINOLTA. Anyways, I didn't bury myself in this, because my camera has been giving me lots of joy for almost three years. So, I just couldn't wish for more ;)

The specs for the camera isn't worth mentioning. It's a simple compact camera. 5 megapixels (from what I rarely use more than 3 megapixels of resolution), easy to use, SD multimedia cards for picture luggage. Also the possibility of shooting .MOV (15fps, 320x240) film clips. The quality's discussable, but still enough for most on-the-fly coverage.

Oh, I also found a quite thick review on the camera. Check the link below if you're interested in pictures and more specifications. Oh, what the heck, you're probably not. It's been like three and a halv year since this camera came out, if whoever's-reading-this is planning on a new compact camera they'd probably just Pricerun themselves to the best Kodak Easyshare (where ~8 megapixels is probably standard nowadays).

Anyways..

Now enjoy yourselves!
