Movie: "The Thirteenth Floor" (1999)

Wow!

Really liked this sci/fi flick. Actually I do remember when it had it's premiere around nine years ago. However, by some strange reason I seem to have missed out on it. Guess I was fully occupied with being a savage teenage boy then, hehe.

Anyways, I remember back in the early days of year 2000, me and a friend had this "what if everything is just planted.." discussion, concluding that if that was the case we would probably be memory-wiped before we woke up the next morning, to prevent us from spreading this fact. Heh, the idea was then mostly my own (perhaps with a bit of inspiration from 'The Matrix' though ^^), but I'm not sure about him. When come thinking about it, out discussion was more like the scenario of this film, than Matrix. Had my friend seen this film already? ..'cuz I sure as hell hadn't! :|

Anyways..

A game company has worked six years with a VR-alike sort of thing which enables you to visit a fully similated world, with electric circuits as human beings, behaving exactly(!) like us human beings, even living with the awareness of being human beings, just like us. The bad things starts when the company's boss, Hannon Fuller, suddenly is found murdered in a dark alley. Who has had the reason to do such thing? Damn, hope I havn't spoiled too much of the plot by those inner thoughts I described above. The film is really awsome though. The "30's similation" is well-made indeed, really smooth all the way. Go see this film, if you havn't already..

7/10 (a strong one, that is!)
