Interesting film. Really not the usual crap, so to say ;D The rich millionarie Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) is put in hospital 'cuz of severe cancer. He's on the list of "important people" who usually support the hospital economicly (from what I see a PR thingie), you could almost say he's a co-owner of the hospital. Anyways, here he is, lying in the bed with lethal internal injuries, slowly ripping him into pieces.
So, here's where Carter (Morgan Freeman) enters the picture. He's a [low-working class] car mechanic, who also seem to have met this unpleasent destiny that cancer means. So, they have beds in the same room, giving them lots of time for conversation. In the beginning, you could say both of them are almost hostile, probably partly 'cuz of this sudden newsflash of life that they have been given.
Anyways, friendship grows slowly. So, as they eventually come to accept their destiny, they get the idea of writing a list on every dream that they would have liked to pursuit before the end of time. Here's where the adventure starts. Really wonderful. Brilliant story, even though death is not to fool around. It shall come to visit all of us, eventually..
