Movie: "Million Dollar Baby" (2004)

Now - this - was a great movie, written by Paul Haggis; directed by Clint Eastwood himself. Strangely enough I havn't seen it until now. Probably 'cuz I'm usually not so much into sports movies. However, this one was more of a tragic saga. Sort of like you couldn't say Forrest Gump is a sports movie neither, right?!

Here's Maggie (Hilary Swank), a woman in her early 30's, dreaming about becoming great in boxing. She's from the dirty south, so she has nothing but shit in her backpack anyways. So, she comes to the boxing gym where Frankie Dunn (Eastwood) trains young boxers. At first, he won't even look at her. First of all, because the bare fact that she's a girl. "Girl - being touch ain't enough" he tells her. However, due to circumstances (most of all her strong will) he eventually takes her in for practise. She becomes really great, and is just longing for that one title match that will take her to the stars...
