Movie: "The Mack" (1973)

A real classic in the black man's film genre, I assume. Since I'm currently "between two jobs" (or more), I had a few hours to myself while my fiancé was on her summer work. I've had this one in my DVD collection for almost two years, without having seen the whole movie. I remember when I first got it, I started watching it, but then I got sleepy and zZz...

The movie's storyline was kept clean and intact, just the way I want it. So, this is a (the usual?) story about this guy who wants it all. The plot reminds me some about 'Get Rich Or Die Trying' (featuring Curtis "Fifthy" Jackson), even though that film is about the fortune wheel of want-to-reach-out-emcee's, while this one treats the "pimpin hoez" industry. So, the story is about a young (black) man who is at first caught in a set up (by the police), so he gets put away for five years. Once back on the street, he decides to cut all the amateur bullshit, and get into the real business - the pimpin' business. So, from here he heads for the top. Side characters of interest for the story is Goldie's mother aswell as his brother.
