Where did our constitutional rights go?

Yeah.

In an hour or so the government is about to hold the big votation. If it goes through, we will have all our abroad aswell as domestic cable-/airborne communications monitored(!) by an agency (FRA - Sveriges signalspaningsorganisation) asigned by the government. Why? To prevent terrorists from blowing bombs etc. A friend suggested that they would have some rapid sniffer that catched words and phrases like "usama", "nuclear", "hells angels", "oil", "bomb", and so on. This would make a whole new occupation. Perhaps (if I'm unemployed in a year or so) I'll apply for a job as a "data sniffer". Tss, this shit is sick, if you ask me. The government is only using this as a stupid cover-up for a last-way-out sollution on the problems with teenagers downloading/sharing piracy software/music/films.

I mean, like any serious terrorists wouldn't have brains enough to encrypt their internal affairs on a wise way. So, who will this really(!) affect? Yeah that's right, innocent people. Like my friend said, those data sniffers will look upon their screen all day long, reading e-mails and suchlike:

" [...] no problems, just remember to turn off the alarm system before you leave. the code is 1289 "

So, it's likely that we will have small time crooks using their sniffed information the wrong way. No one will be safe. Besides, like the journalists claims; this law actually violates our constitutional protection, when source protection will be something from a time gone by.

Wicked, really. The votation should actually have taken place already this morning, but they withdrew in the last minute, this by the meaning they added/made a few "final adjusts" and filed it back in again. In other words we were talking about a ~10 hours notice. Gah. Anyways, I hope they make their vote wisely.

Else than this? Well, not too much. I'm selling lottery tickets over the phone, I really am. I'm not good at it, but I've managed to sell a few. Actually, I'm unsure weather the tele-marketing business is violoating my firm personal standards. So, we'll see how it ends. Anyways, I'm still there.

So, the European masterships in soccer is still what's on Swedish people's minds. We're playing against Russia tonight. I thought I'd bet a hundred crowns or something on a Swedish victory, but the online betting system was in a mess so I managed to put my account on a locked state. Even called their customer service. They blamed the telephone operator for having problems with sending out once-only use codes (used for lost account recovery) over SMS, which I had asked for, when the first login-problems occured. Anyways, it's no biggie. When come thinking about it, I'm sure we'll loose the game, hrhr..

Oh btw, when I first though about placing a bet, I was at home (with no cable Internet connection). So, I got online over my phone's GPRS modem. Anyhow, since I came out of a sort of fresh install Firefox were missing the Flash Player. Then I decided to try downloading it over the GPRS modem(!!). "The GPRS rates has lowered, I'm sure I'll get off pretty cheap". While I saw the TCP/IP in/out metre reach >3.000.000 bytes in I got worried thought. Surfed into my phone operator's site and looked the rates up. So there it was. SEK 14.99:-/Megabyte recieved(!). Damn daawg, this was the most expensive Flash Player installation I've ever experienced, hahaahah. Anyways, after the install I got the problem with logging in anyway, so I skipped it (money for nothing, right) and took a bike tour to my fiancé's apartment, where the 100MBit is de facto.

So, here I am now, taking my opportunity of writing a small piece of blog about what's been on my mind lately. Well, better get back home, we'll have rhubarb fool for desert tonight, all inclusive (ice cream plus whipped cream) that is, of course ;-)

Oh btw, we also watched Prizzi's Honor (featuring Jack Nicholson) the other night. An old (1985) movie that I've had in my DVD collection for years, it's just that I've havn't had time/enough will to watch it). Just over two hours of something between a romantic drama and clodhopping mobster flick. Nah, hmm, well, I won't cred it with five stars, that's for sure.

Anyways, have a nice Midsummer day, to all you folks out there. Hope them Swedes will manage to stay on their feet, which I believe is a little bit too much to hope for, really. Hrhrhrhrhr.. Pityful world we live in, "I'm audii.." (ref. Em / 8 Mile) ^^
