Midsummer of 2008

Went well in this part of the county. Elsewhere shit hit the fan, from what the teletext gives me in it's report. Assaults, rapes, weapon firings, etcetera. Wicked world we live in, shit is 'bout to blow, I get that much. Anyways, like I said, we eazed out big timers!

At Midsummer's Day (yesterday), we invited Berglund to our place for late dinner. It was flawless. Chicken filet, prepared with cream, sun-dried tomatoes, rice, soy, and an italian salad mix just to spice it up a little. It was the whole package. Oh la laaa. When we had eaten, it was time for desert. Icecream with aswell raspberries as strawberries. Yummie! After this, I felt like a human bomb. It turned invert in my stomach, and I could barely give out a noise. Anyways, we had earlier rented the movie Little Miss Sunshine (which had a top #250 rank over on IMDb). So, we watched it. It was really great.

Actually, this appeared to be the best [out of let's say the latest hundred films] I've seen. We all agreed, must it really be so hard to make (great) new movies. Is everything oughtta be just so darn played out? Every inch of the original concept. I mean, what is the original concept, really? Isn't the whole thing with movies about creating something original, being creative and building the concept of it. Shitty human beings; wouldn't piss on fire to put you out! Anyways, this was great.

Anyways, we were about to end the night with watching the cult movie Mad Max, featuring Mel Gibson as early as 1979. I'm a bit ashamed but I had never seen this motion screen. Dunno why (unattended comment: "You don't always have to know why"). Anyways, my beauty queen fell asleep almost instantly. I stayed up till the end credits. Fantastic action movie. I was actually almost a bit chocked by some of the horrorful scenes. Why is it that I almost never lift an eyebrow nowadays? Awergh, no idea. Anyways, I reckon that the sequel must be just about as great as the first movie (7.x ranked over IMDb apparentely), so I must rent it as soon as possible.

So, what is really up today? Midsummer Day and all. I threw a bounce of (forgotten) Midsummer greets out over SMS. Barely had one(!) in return, it must be that our Swedes (in general) is laying there, totally f-cked up over sour beverage, this casual "the day after". Tsss, can't explain how much it sickens me. Our humanity in decline. Awful.

Us then? Went on a nice bike trip to a place that I found a couple of weeks ago. It's a place where the animals are so tame that I did first not believe me own eyes. This time, I brought my camera, snapped lots of photos. I've made a gallery of those which you can watch over at a my new slideshow gallery (see link below).

These birds appeared so damn personal. They were picking on my shoes and pants, and one of them actually "climbed" up on Ingrid and laid it's beak in her lap. It was like fiction, but this was really happening. I used my camera's video operation and filmed their attitude. These clips came to fill my lousy 128 megabyte SD card very quick. Anyways, now I have lots of raw material (in poor 320x240px resolution though, sadly) to work with. As soon as I've managed to cut them pieces together, I'll upload them to Youtube or something. So, stay tuned, 'cuz big birds in their copulation season is defeinitely enjoyable watching. An interesting thing is the steel ring which the odd looking bird (last picture in the slideshow gallery) seems to be marked with (see one of it's legs).

My Princess

Oh, how beautiful she is. Oh gosh, I'm truly the luckiest man alive.
