Swingfly - Singing That Melody

Swingfly Singing That Melody

His new [to become hit] single, apparentely..

It's been a while since I heard something from Swing-Fly. Frankly, I can't remember hearing anything(!) from him since he came out with the hit "Hey Boy", colaberating with Teddybears Sthlm. Anyways, a few Google strings and I found out that he did had some sort of hit ("Something's Got Me Started") in February this year. See the link below for more on that.

Anyways, I think this new song could(!) become something of a new hit. It seems to just have been released, so the radio may not have played it enough times for them kids on the street to start digging it, but they just might..

Oh, thanks to Ludwig for tipping me off about this song. Have you seen the video? A rather tight production, if you ask me. Those hard-knuckled men of color in the video gives that Bronx flare.

Melvin is up to mischief

Yesterday we were "dogsitting" for her parents.

When Melvin's elated he get's very intrusive :-)

Movie: "Zoolander" (2001)

Oh my gosh!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0196229/

It didn't really reach up to my expectations, I can tell you that much. I'm not sure where I've had it from, but I had some strange idea about this to be, well, just "a little bit more" (to be placed in the 'Sideways' category), and not just some simple plot that reminds me of 'Josie and the Pussycats' (which I have no good reason whatsoever for even having seen). Had a phone call from a friend when we had just pressed play. He had seen it a long time ago, but didn't remember it to be "all that funny". Guess he was right.

Movie: "Corpse Bride" (2005)

At last, this animated piece of flamingo is now added to my have-seen list. It was really, well, what shall I say, well, it was a magnificant piece of work, anyhows. The movie was quite simply a set of beautiful motion pictures. In other words, the enimation factory has made a great work.

The plot is about a young woman's family, who've turned helplessly destitute on their older days. So, as they are a nobel family marrying into theirs is concidered classy. In this manner their daughter (who's amusing name is Victoria) is being used as a trap to get acquaintanced (--> married!) to a man who has got them riches. Heeeeeeere's Victor (voice by Johnny Depp), a young man coming from a not so welthy family. They are fishers, but they are at least not totally broke. So, in the beginning of the film the marriage is already set. However, the cermony is getting interupted by a word-fumbling Victor who cannot manage to speak his vowes correctly. So, he get's a ~12h notice for learning them. Then, when he's all alone in the woods, he suddenly gets a new acquaintance - the Corpse Bride, who has a little story of her own.

Well, now I won't give up anything more, taking the risk of spoiling important events. Anyways, it's a great film, which also just about all the way through is giving a relaxed stumach feeling to those a bit afraid of what's beyond this life. Just wonderful!

Hey guys, why have I gotten this sudden strong urge to watch the Batman movie from 1989 with Michael Keaton as Batman? Is it because of this whole Tim Burton epoch that I'm in? Dunno. Anyways.. The lastest film, that seems to be something of a sequel to 'Batman Begins', is now according to IMDb stated as complete. Swedish release date is set to the 25th of July. Damn, I was so sleepy last time I saw Batman Begins, so that it is almost like I need to watch it again, just to pick up some of the pieces. I wonder what my beloved fiancé will have to say about watching a couple of movies with a man dressed up as a bat? Hmmm, since she doesn't like Star Wars I'm not really sure. Definitely worth finding out.. :-)

Firefox 3 is out!

So, since I'm like the ultimate support of Mozilla products (using Thunderbird for POP3 e-mail since a couple of months; have been using Firefox _only_ since the beginning of time) this felt really great. Yeah, I do know that the beta version of Mozilla Firefox 3 has been out for like half a year or something like that. But I'm not much fan of beta releases. Never have been, and probably will not ever be. I like to enjoy software of stable architecture. So, when I enter getfirefox.com in the address field, I always get a link to download the old Firefox 2.x (latest) in my own language.

A couple of weeks ago, I had something of a "reborn phase" over Linux. Then, I noticed that when you entered the address above over XFree86, you were redirected to the download link for Firefox 3 beta (still in your own language). I kept on wondering about this, if Linux architecture's are more convinced in the stability/security of the third generation's Firefox browser, so that they keep it as the standard deal. Wild speculations? Maybe, but when come thinking about it, Firefox 3 were actually implanted in GNOME by default. Awsome.

However..
Today I'm at my fiancé's parents house. We've had fresh pasta with tuna, creme fresh, cream and garlic (yummy!), and now I'm just sitting here at the computer, throwing a quick blog and seeing what's new. So, I get annoyed by the fact that Firefox does not seem to be installed. So, when I enter the (above mentioned) usual fast-download-url, I get inquired about downloading Mozilla Firefox v3.0 / Swedish. Oh my god. Huge happening! So, after a quick Google string I found out that the full (non beta) release has been out since 17:th of June, Thuesday exactly(!) two weeks ago. Whoa, guess who's absent.

Anyways, my beloved princess is calling from upstairs.
Gotta go! Later..

Movie: "Edward Scissorhands" (1990)

A classic perl from Tim Burton. Why is it that I havn't seen this movie before? I remember back at the video store. A fellow employer was almost a bit critical, like "WHAT? You havn't seen Edward Scissorhands? Just must be kidding me.."

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099487/

Ever since that moment I knew I had to find time to watch it. Asked my beloved fiancé a couple of weeks ago, and _of course_ she had seen it. Also she seemed surprised that I hadn't seen it. So, we rented it the other night. Now, I have to admit it was quite a masterpiece. A really beautiful saga, is what it is. Nevertheless I couldn't help myself from getting vibes of watching more of a PG-rated version of Freddy Kreuger - a character who by the way has frightened me ever since I was a little kid.

"In a castle high on top of a hill lives an inventor's greatest creation - Edward, a near-complete person. The creator died before he could finish Edward's hands; instead, Edward is left with metal scissors for hands. Edward has always lived alone, until a kind lady called Peg discovers Edward and welcomes him into her home. At first, everyone welcomes Edward into the community, but soon things begin to take a change for the worse." (written by FilmFanUK)

I would probably not manage to write a better plot summary myself, so I just ripped that one straight outta IMDb. Own records? Well, the neighbour society presented in this movie reminded me _alot_ about Desperate Housewives, hahah. Couldn't bare to hold my laughter when I thought about it. Anyways, wonderful film. A real Christmas carol, or what do you call it? Also, this movie reminds me about 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' (2000). Probably a stolen/remodified plot idea. Now, I won't let go of Tim Burton. Time to go look on the shelves for 'Corpse Bride', his most recent work, an animated film from 2005. Havn't seen this one either. God damnit, where have I been at?
