Bike disaster the other day..

Yeah, yesterday my jurney from the suburb and into the city was a living hell. First of all, I decided to stop by Willy's to get some grosserys. Then, when I roll up at the entrance, I hear this familiar sound: the sound of my bike's tire sliding over a sharp piece of glass. Oh no, I havn't had a flat in a real long time, this was not the right time. I spend like five minutes, analyzing the shape of my tire, looking for possible cracks. I didn't find any, although my front tire (the one that had ran over the glass piece) was really low on oxygen. Was it a flat, or just me being lazy with the ordinary refill. I couldn't be sure, since I know the fact that my front tire has a sloppy valve that lets out like half the oxygen in a period of two to three months. Well, no visible crack in the tire, so I had to assume I had been blessed by some angel from the sky. I went inside. Potatoes weight heavy, so it all added up to two bags, which I didn't think would be much trouble bringing; one on each bike steering handle.

However, I had assumed that the pedestrian/bike-path would be snowscraped, but no. My bike skid left and right all the way, plus the food bags dongled, I thought that they were about to burst at any time, which made me feeel not too good. So, when I'm like this close to the city; I meet, guess what.. Of course, the tractor. As soon as we haver crossed our paths, I let go of the steering wheel and keep my focus on one bag in each hand instead. Worked much better.

This was until I decided to take the bags all the way to my apartment, with no pitstop at my girlfriend's apartment. Gosh, this would become a big deal. I'm still not too familiar with the road to my part of town, so I zig-zaged my way thru. When I got to the University hospital, I tried crossing it. Bad move! I ended up dazed and confuzed, plus I burned approx. 30 minutes of time which I could have used for quality time with Her. Damn! When I finally knew I was on the right way, and began to eaze down, I was so angry that I just kept on swearing loudly about that I hate the winter, plus a few [not so rational] statements about that the climate changes should go on, so that we got rid of all this shitty snow, end up with only water masses (my bike won't skid on water; that part is for four-wheel vehicles).

Anyways, I finally got home. Made time for a cup of coffee before I was once again on the road, heading for the city lights.
